Active with the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiologists, Nathan Carroll maintains board certification in nonsurgical pain management and is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Based in Illinois, he treats people with conditions such as fibromyalgia, migraines, facet generated pain, and chronic regional pain syndrome. Nathan Carroll’s work as CRNA includes standard and rapid induction sequences and he intubates patients so as to maintain secure airways, inserting laryngeal mask airways as required.
As Illinois nurse anesthetist, Nathan Carroll also delivers regional nerve blocks and inserts peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) lines for patients who need specific medications and long-term antibiotics. He assists with opioid weaning and in managing pain associated with cancer. Mr. Carroll’s background extends to a role as staff nurse with the ICU unit at a hospital in Missouri.
An avid traveler, he particularly enjoys off-road adventures across the Midwest, as well as equestrian activities, skiing, and hiking. Among his favorite destinations are Scotland, Ireland, Switzerland, and the Great Smoky Mountains.
